Camellia Vase No.1
Design
A one-of-a-kind vase, hand-built in white clay with a rounded silhouette and an irregular opening. Inspired by the delicate elegance of the camellia, the piece explores the flower as an integral part of the vessel’s form.
Individually modelled petals overlap across much of the body, following its curves and appearing to emerge from the surface. Their layered relief blurs the boundary between decoration and vessel, allowing the flowers themselves to shape the silhouette.
An ivory palette draws attention to the depth and contours of each petal, while a fine black line traces the uneven rim. A clear gloss glaze catches the light across the raised details, revealing the subtle asymmetries and traces of the handmade process.

Care
Handle with care, supporting the body and base. Do not lift the vase by its decorative details or rim. Avoid pressure on raised elements and projecting edges.
Dust gently with a soft cloth, taking particular care around the hand-modelled decorations.
