Ruffled Vase No.1

A one-of-a-kind vase, hand-built in white clay with an elongated silhouette and a sculptural ruffle framing the opening. Inspired by the movement of fabric, its folded edges evoke the flowing lines of a dress.

Red slip, applied by hand along the contours, accentuates each undulation against the ivory body. The colour follows the ruffle as it descends across the surface, drawing attention to the interplay of volume, folds and open space.

A clear gloss glaze highlights the curves and traces of the handmade surface. Subtle asymmetries give the piece its individual character, balancing the softness of its form with a bold, expressive outline.
